Skill Set for WebMQ series Admin:

1. Queue manager creation and MQseries objects creation (Either manual or
script)
2. MQ and Messaging layer management (Architecture knowledge would be
preferable)
3. Binding messaging layer with applications, via application server (Can be
anything like websphere or weblogic)
4. Troubleshooting WMQ issues and problem determination,
5. MQ installation and configuration (Preferably on UNIX flavors)
6. Monitoring of MQseries objects (either script, manual or any specific
monitoring tool)
7. Knowledge of distribute queueing and clustering. (Very Important)
8. Conceptual knowledge of triggering (Not many companies implement this.
this is of low priority)
9. Shell scripting or any other scripting.
10. Knowledge of any configuration tool (e.g mqsmon, appwatch or
rfhutilC).But this is of low priority.
11. Communication topology designing.
12. SSL implementation
13. Channel exits or Security Exits configuration (If possible, development
too)

Skill Set for Weblogic Admin :

• Weblogic installation and configuration.
• Good understanding of weblogic clustering.
• Good understanding of node manager ,JMS,JDBC concepts
• JMS,Data source creation and management
• Weblogic performance and tuning
• High level experience in Shell script
• Experience on WLST scripting
• Weblogic troubleshooting
• Analyzing the thread dump
• Knowledge on monitoring tools such as Tivoli, Wily etc
• Should have knowledge on ITIL process
• Knowledge on J2EE development is a plus.
